The first thing that caught my eye about Ansel Adams is his amazing nature photo's. I particularly picked his photos because of the amazing pictures of nature he go and the environment he captured through his pictures. I see beautiful mountains in the distance. I smell fresh pine trees around me. I hear a flowing river near by. I taste the cold air of the mountains. I feel surrounded by nature.

Brandt's new focus with his photography is to represent what was once there and what we did that effected the animals land. He selected unpublished photo's from the period, printed them in California, shipped them to Kenya, constructed their steel and plywood frames on location, and positioned them so they seemed part of the physical surroundings. I think his work will inspire people to realize what is happening in Africa and help. These images made me feel disappointed in man kind for doing this to there homes and destroying them.

Nick Brandt's photo's are amazing they look really good and each one gives me a sense of sadness coming from Africa's suffering ecosystem. When I first saw his photos they all gave this very sad tone and made me feel bad for them. The elephant photos make me feel the most sad because they just look miserable in the pictures, like there home has been destroyed. This is one of my favorite photo's from Nick Brandt because the black and white just make it look very sad and like the elephants home was destroyed. A rule of photography in this photo is simplicity because this photo doesn't have a lot going on in it. This is another one of my favorite photo's from Nick Brandt because the skeleton of the bird is representing that we have killed there environment. A rule of photography in this photo is simplicity because there isn't much going on in it. Brandt uses a Pentax 67 and three different lenses, a 55mm, a 105mm, and a 200mm this is important beca...

A. Some main points I learned are don't mess with news photos because you could be altering the situation and what the viewer should be focusing on. B. You are not allowed to alter the original scene photographed. C. I think some ethical things you can change is if something is blurry or dark give it some light or make it a little brighter D. I think this is the most unethical because it portrays a British soldier pointing his rifle at a Iraqi civilian. But the original photo is that of a British soldier urging the Iraqi civilian to get to cover for his and his child's safety. This is one of the most unethical edits i've ever seen, it puts the soldiers life in danger by portraying him pointing his rifle at a civilian and people at home see this and think that soldiers there are just harassing civilians for no reason. E. I think this photo is the least unethical because its just the editor trying to make Kim Kardashian look a little better in the photo. Its not ...

1. What challenges did you encounter while trying to het the photos of your first 4 prompts. I had a challenge of the picture being lopsided and finding ideas. 2. What technical aspects of photography or the assignment in general did you find yourself thinking about the most? I was almost always thinking about framing things like my bowie post and my square post and just thinking how they could fit. 3. If you could do the assignment again, what would you do differently now that you know some basic rules of photography? I would try harder to get different rules like rule of thirds or framing. 4. what things would you do the same? I would keep the happy picture. 5. Are you interested in shooting those same prompts again, why? No, not really because i'm satisfied with my pictures and I don't want to do it a second time.
